Pinocchio Jimminy Cricket Production Cel Courvoisier Setup

"Always let your conscious be your guide!" Presented here is an engaging original production cel Courvoisier setup featuring Jiminy from the 1940 Disney classic Pinocchio. Thanks to his extensive character development by one of Walt's Nine Old Men, Ward Kimball, Jiminy went from a short-lived unnamed character in Carlo Collodi's 1883 children's book to a key character that garnered such popularity he effectively became an unofficial secondary mascot for the Studio. Jiminy takes the job bestowed upon him by the Blue Fairy very seriously in his Disney role, coming to Pinoke's rescue more than once as well as providing vocals on two of the film's memorable songs including "When You Wish Upon a Star" which has since become the signature song of The Walt Disney Company. Hand-inked and hand-painted to full-figure, Jiminy stands at approximately 3" tall and has been meticulously trimmed to image and affixed to the original Courvoisier custom hand-painted background with a blank protective overlay cel on top. The setup is presented in its original glass-fronted Courvoisier frame with an overall size of 10" x 11" and mat aperture of 3.75" x 4.5" which includes "Jimminy" (misspelled with an additional 'm') delicately inscribed in graphite on the mat; the original Courvoisier CoA is affixed to the reverse side. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. With typical handling and edge wear including minor edge curling of the trimmed cel, small areas of linework/paint wear, and slight staining to the background, overall this sensible Cricket is in Very Good condition.
